HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Hello again! Sorry about the late post but it has been really busy in the lives of the Floyd Family. Jeremy is having a blast!! He is meeting a lot of his family for the first time. 1st he met Great-Grandpa Floyds family. It was also his very 1st Thanksgiving. He had a good time talking to everyone. His favorite person to talk to was his Great-Great Grandma. (video below) He enjoyed being held by almost everyone there!!! The next people that Jeremy got to meet were his Tio and Tia Pat and Rita!!! We were all excited to see them. We had another Thanksgiving with them and a little Christmas as well. Jeremy got to open his very 1st Christmas present!!! From the looks of things, there are many, many more to come. Jeremy is looking forward to seeing his San Antonio family. They are all coming up to have Christmas the weekend before Christmas! YEA!!!

Now for an update on Jeremy. We are having so much fun with him. He is still a talker and yeller. His favorite game right now is Peek-a-boo. He loves to sing The Itsy Bitsy Spider and he loves to dance to the Cha-Cha song. Something new that he started doing this week is not only does he roll from tummy to back, he rolls from back to tummy and keeps going. He is rolling all over the place!!! His favorite place to roll is under the Christmas tree. He tries to pull down the ornaments and unwrap the presents. It is so amazing watching the new things that he does. I know
I have probably said this already but he does something new everyday. Oh another thing that Jeremy really loves is spending the day with his daddy. When Daniel is off during the week he keeps Jeremy at home and they spend the whole day together. They have so much fun!!! Jeremy loves his daddy so much!!!

We will continue to update the blog as soon as we can. I hope yall enjoy the pictures that we sent yall. We have the disc of all the pics that we took so if you want anymore let us know. We didn't buy very many poses but we can print them off from the disc. We hope that you all have a fun and safe holiday season!!! Love yall Daniel, Christina and Jeremy

3 MONTH UPDATE

Since Jeremy is 4 months today, i guess it is a good time to let you know about his
3rd month. As you can see from the pics below, he is getting so big. He doesn't like to lay down anymore. He is contantly trying to to lift himself up. That is why we got him a Bumbo. He loves it. It is so funny because he noticed his feet and trys to grab at them when he is sitting in the Bumbo. Jeremy also noticed that he can yell so he yells all the time now. It is fine when we are at home but it is hard to tell a 3 month old to be quiet in church.:( He is still a GREAT baby. He is spoiling us soooo much!!! He has his 4 month appointment tomorrow so pray for us. He is getting more shots. We are taking family pics on Saturday so we are really excited about that. Oh yeah and we have GREAT NEWS. Our friends Arnold and Tirah had their babies on Saturday. They are all doing fine. If all goes well the babies should be able to come home on Dec. 15. Please keep them in your prayers as well. As soon as we get pics of the babies we will post them.

We will talk to yall soon. Take care and we Love you!!!

OUR LITTLE STAR

Quick Update

As you can see below, Jeremy is rolling over!!! He rolled over for the 1st time on October 5th. Yesterday he was soo close in rolling back over. He is just growing so fast. He turned 3 months yesterday. I will post more pics later. We are going to San Antonio this weekend for Jen and G's wedding so we post those pics as well. As soon as i have 3 month pics i will post those ASAP.

2 MONTH UPDATE

I cannot believe it is 2 months already. Jeremy is growing so fast. We are having so much fun with him. He is the BEST baby ever. Jeremy had his 2 month appointment 2 weeks ago and it was so sad because he had to get shots. We both cried but he got over it right away. I was a little worried the morning of the appointment because i had to wake Jeremy up. He slept for 10 1/2 hours straight. The 1st question that the Dr asked us was how Jeremy was doing at night. I told him that he usually sleeps 8 to 10 hours. He said that is all he needed to know. He said that you can tell how healthly and happy your baby is by how they sleep at night. That made me feel much better. He is a blessing. It is amazing how excited Jeremy gets when his daddy comes home from work. He recognizes him right away.

We baptized Jeremy this past Sunday so we are very excited about that. I have posted videos and pics of his special day. I have also posted random pics of Jeremy at 2 months. Enjoy!!!
Much Love from the Floyd Family

ROAD TRIP

As i mentioned in the previous post we had a family reunion to go to this past weekend. We had a blast. Jeremy was wonderful!!! He didn't give us any trouble at all. When we left on Friday he slept pretty much the whole way. It was the same coming home. I was a little concerned about how he would sleep at night since he slept so much on the road and since we were in an unfamiliar place but he slept all night!!!! He is truely the best baby ever. Another plus was the weather. It wasnt too hot and not a drip of water. All and all it was a great trip. We got to see a lot of our family (pics are below) which means huge cook-out YEA!!! So we've got one trip down and 2 more to go.
Oh yeah, keep us in your prayers b/c tomorrow Jeremy has his 2 month appt and you know what that means SHOTS. Hopefully everything will go fine.
We will talk to you soon. LOTS OF LOVE!!! Christina, Daniel & Baby Jeremy

1st month update

As you all know Jeremy turned 1 month on September 19th. It went by so fast. Every morning when i change his diaper i notice something new about him. He is very talkative in the morning. I think he is going to love to talk just like his mommy. One of his biggest accomplishment is that he is sleeping through the night YEA!!!! He goes to bed around 10:30 or 11 and wakes up between 5 & 6. Right now we go back to bed and wake up around 10 but when i go back to work this schedule will work out great.

We have a lot on our plate these next 2 months. On Sept 12th we will be going on our 1st roadtrip with Jeremy. We are going to our family reunion in Fredrickburg then to San Antonio to meet our Aunts, Uncles and cousins. We will be back on Wed 17th and Jeremy has his 2 month appt on Fri 19th. He will be baptized on Sun 28th. Then on my birthday weekend we are going to our good friends baby shower in Kerrville. They are having triplets. Isn't that exciting? Daniel is going to be the Godfather of one of the boys so we are very excited to see them. On the 25th Jeremy is going to be in his very 1st wedding. Daniel's brother is getting married and Jeremy is going to be the ringbearer. He is very nervous. So there is a little update of what is going on and what is in the works for us. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel. We love yall Daniel, Christina & Baby Jeremy

1st of all, sorry about the late post. I haven't had the time to post. Taking care of a newborn is hard work but it is worth it. Daniel and I are having a blast. At 1st it was kind of boring because Jeremy would just sleep all the time. We wanted to go and wake him up. Now that he is a month old, he is more alert and awake a lot more. He is cooing and smiling which makes the long nights well worth it. He actually does really well at night. He usually goes to bed around 11. Wakes up at 4 and again at 7. We have been very lucky. He is such a good baby. He is changing so much and so fast. It makes me sad when i see the pictures of his 1st week because he doesn't look like that anymore.

Well in this 1st month we have been kind of busy. It went by so fast. For the 1st week Tia Rachel was here with us. She was a great help to us because she did all the dirty work. The next weekend Daniel's parents came down to visit which was a lot of fun. We also went to see Jeremy's Great-Grandparents. They were really excited to see Jeremy. Last week my mom took the week off so we were over there the whole week playing with our cousins. They were a little frustrated with Jeremy because he was always asleep but they enjoyed holding him. Daniel and I are big movie goers so we actually left Jeremy with my parents for a few hours so we could go see Dark Night. It was really hard for me because that was the 1st time I had been away from him. He apparently didn't miss me because he slept the whole time.

I posted some pictures of his 1st week below. I will try my best to keep the blog updated. We have lots of pictures that i will post later. We will talk to you soon.
Love yall Christina, Daniel & Baby Jeremy

Celebrating Life

The wait is over!! He's here!! Jeremy Owen Floyd was born this afternoon at 2:01pm, weighing in at 6lbs.10oz. and 19.75 inches long. He is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Looks just like his Daddy and has HUGE dimples just like Mommy - especially on his right cheek. Mom is doing great! Just getting some much needed rest after a very long night. We are very proud of her. Dad is doing well too!! He is all smiles! Of course there were many tears of joy shed as little Jeremy made his debut into this world. There were many visitors today including Aunt Rachel who came all the way from San Antonio to be here with her brother Daniel. Of course Grandma Mae and Grandpa Severo were at the hospital since 8am. Tia Wesa and Tio Bill were way excited to finally experience the birth of a child from the waiting room. And of course Jeremy's cousins who have been waiting anxiously for the newest member of their Baseball Furries team, Matt, Zach and Alex came to meet their new cuz. Baby Adriana is excited that this baby doll is real. She already says "BEE BEE" when she sees his pictures. Thanks be to God for such a beautiful blessing in Jeremy and for a safe and successful delivery. Enjoy the pictures - more to come!!!

PS- this is guest blogger and proud aunt, Louisa. I didn't want everyone to have to wait until the family got home to see Little Jeremy.

ITS TIME!!!!

OK I never thought i would be saying this but i am going to the hospital tonight at midnight to be induced. Isnt that crazy? My blood pressure has been getting high lately so my dr doesnt want to risk me getting Pre-eclampsia. She figured that since the baby is already pretty much full term we should go ahead and deliver now. We are going in at midnight because my drs shift doesnt start until tomorrow at 7am and she wants to make sure she will be there to deliver our baby. Wish us luck and keep us in your prayers. Daniel is really nervous so say and extra prayer for him. Hopefully the next time we blog it will be pictures of our baby boy. Love yall and hope to see yall soon!!!! Christina, Daniel and Baby Floyd.

HAPPY BELATED 4TH OF JULY!!!

I meant to blog yesterday but we were so busy. It has been pretty hectic in Floyd Families lives lately. Daniel's grandpa had a hip replacement surgery on June 17th so we have been back and forth from the hospital and now his house. Daniel's parents have been here since the surgery and his sister was here for the 1st week of the surgery. She stayed with us at our house so that was fun. We are enjoying visiting with our Floyd Family. Daniel's brother came to town on Thursday the 3rd so guess who we got to see? Sydney Payden Floyd!!!! We were so excited to see her. This was the 1st time we got to see her since she was born. She will be 3 months on July 14th but she looks like she is 6 months. She is so big. She looks just like her daddy. There is no denying her. Well I posted some pics of her below so enjoy!!! I have a lot to tell you about the pregnancy so far but I will wait until after my next appointment which is on Tuesday. We will talk to you soon. Love ya Daniel, Chris & Baby Floyd.

Our new niece, Sydney

Welcome!!!!

As i mentioned before, I had my Baby shower earlier this month. With my Thank you cards I included the address to this blog. I am guessing that we will probably have more people check it out. That is what we want. We want everyone to be apart of this new journey in our lives. I haven't done much to the page lately but when the baby comes this will be the place to see all the current pics. We would also like to hear from yall so please leave comments, suggestions, concerns, questions etc. We hope to hear from yall soon. Love Yall Christina, Daniel & Baby Floyd.

My Baby Shower

BABY SHOWER FUN!!!!

We had our baby shower last Sunday, June 1st and we had a blast. Well I had a blast. Daniel on the other hand was having a very bad day. He had a really bad toothache. Some of his guy friends and family came to support him at the shower and he wasnt even there. I felt so bad for him but he is doing much better. He had a root canal done on his tooth on Wednesday so he the pain has completely gone away. When i came home from the shower with all the gifts it made him feel much better for a while. We got a lot of cool things. Now we definitely cant wait for the baby to come. My cousin Rachelle sent us a bouncer in the mail yesterday and we put it together this morning. We just cant wait. My nephews also got their baby cousin a Texas Ranger Baseball and bat and cant wait to teach him how to us it. Alex kept asking my to wake up the baby so he can give him the bat. It was so cute. He is still a little confused about the whole thing. When he comes to our house he always goes into the nursery and asks where the baby is. We all just cant wait.

As for how i am doing, i am starting to get uncomfortable. He is starting to press on my ribs. He is just running out of room. My whole body is swollen now mainly because of the heat. I go to the dr on Friday so i will have another update then.

I will post some pics from my baby shower. We will talk to you soon.
Love you Daniel, Christina & Baby Floyd

BABY SHOWER FUN!!!!

30 Weeks Preggo

Counting Down

We have less than 10 weeks to go so i guess it is time for an update. We are getting really excited. We have now started going to our dr's appointments every 2 weeks. They are pretty much the same thing. The dr is just checking the heart rate and meausuring the my belly and the baby. Everything is normal so far. I had my Glucose Test at my last appointment and my reading came back normal. Everybody kept warning me about this test because they said i would have to drink a really gross drink. There was nothing gross about. I actually asked for seconds :) As for me and the baby we are doing really well. I am very grateful to have a sit down job. I play and talk to the baby all day. I put headphones on my belly at work so that he can listen to music. His favorite song at this time is "Can't Stop Lovin'You" from James Otto. There is something about that song that gets him going. I think he can feel how much i like this song. When i want him to relax he likes to listen to "Divine Mercy". It is funny to watch him when i play that song because if he kicks me it is in slow motion. Usually he is very still. I cant hear the music since i have the headphones on my belly but i can tell when the song is over because he starts moving around. It is pretty amazing how lively he is already. He has been really good to me so far as far as sleeping with me at night. Once i lay down, he calms down and stops kicking me as much so that i can sleep. I am sure this will change once he starts running out of room but so far so good.

Daniel & I started our childbirthing classes this past Tuesday. We had so much fun. We met 8 more couples who are due around the same time we are so that was exciting. We are learning a lot and sharing stories with each other. We are getting more comfortable about the whole labor and delivery stuff.

I am going to post some more pics of me and my growing belly and we are going to try and video tape my belly so you can see how much he is moving. It is pretty amazing!!!
We Love you and we'll talk to you soon!!! Daniel, Christina & Baby Floyd

P.S.
Our Baby Shower is SUNDAY June 1st. We accidentally put the wrong day on the invitations. Sorry. Hope to see you there!!!

BaBY UpDaTe

Where do i start. I currently have about a week & 1/2 to go before I begin my 7th month. How exciting is that!!! Everything is still going really well. I am hearing a lot of the horror stories so I am expecting the worst for these last 3 months. Hopefully it won't be that bad considering it will be during the hottest part of the year. My last appointment was April 17th and it was the 1st appointment that I had to go to by myself. It wasn't that bad because it only lasted about 5 mins. All we did was check the heart rate, measure my belly and answer questions. Since Daniel is the one that asks all the questions, I was out of there in no time. Baby Floyd currently weighs about 2 1/2 lbs and is about 9 inches long from crown to rump. I have also posted some pics of my growing belly. The 1st 2 pics are of me in my 5th month and the rest are of me today. Enjoy. We love yall!!! Daniel, Chris & Baby Floyd

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!!

We made it!!!! Man this year went by so fast. Daniel and I were talking about it and it does not seem like a year has gone by. It has been a very fun and exciting year. Some of the main events that have happened in this 1st year is the purchase of our 1st house and awaiting the arrival of our baby boy. I know our actual anniversary date was yesterday but I didn't have time to get on the computer. We also have more exciting news. Our new niece, Sydney Payden Floyd, was born yesterday on our anniversary. How exciting is that!!!! We cannot wait to see her and spoil her.

I came across a slideshow of our wedding pictures and I wanted to share them with you. This will help us all relive such a wonderful day. The link is

Just catchin' yall up

Ok just in case you do not know, I am currently in my 24th week of pregnancy which means i am in my 6th month. This whole prenenacy thing has gone by a lot faster than we thought. It's getting kind of scary but at the same time very exciting. Suprisingly everything is going really good thank God. (i don't want to jinx myself, though) I didn't have any morning sickness at all. Daniel, on the other hand, has had all the symptoms. Poor Daniel. He is getting real excited to see my stomach grow and he can actually feel and sometimes see the baby move. He was getting kind of jealous there for a little bit because I would talk about what the baby felt like and he couldn't experience it himself. We had our 1st and probably only sonogram on March 19th. We were very lucky b/c they took a lot of pictures of our baby boy. We haven't figured out how to put the pics on the site but if you want to see some of them you can go to snapfish.com. Our email address is dj_cmfloyd@att.net and our password is babyfloyd08.

Since we are still trying to get used to this site, we haven't posted any new pics but our new project is to post pics of my growing belly. (Louisa is going to help me with this one.) We also have an appointment on April 17th so we will let you know how that goes. If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions feel free to leave a comment. Oh yeah, Daniel and I are having the hardest time thinking of a name so if you have any ideas please let us know. The only thing we know for sure is that the middle name is going to be Owen. Please help. We will talk to you soon!!! Keep us in your prayers. We love you, Daniel, Christina & Baby Floyd

Now its our turn

We are not very good at this as you can probably see. Daniel and I spent a lot of time this past weekend messing with this site and this is as far as we have gotten. Don't be jealous. If you want to make your own blog, I would highly recommend it but just don't ask us for help. My sister-in-law, Lousia, is available 24/7 to answer any questions, right Wesa? The purpose of this site is to keep all of our family and friends up to date on all our exciting baby news and photos. If you have any suggestions or comments, feel free to blog. I hope you all enjoy!!! Love ya, Chris & Daniel.

Christina & Daniel

I talked to Christina today and she mentioned that she had started setting up a blog but didn't have time to finish and didn't go back to try. So I told her I would help her set it up. So here it is. I hope Daniel's family will be able to follow along throughout the pregnancy. I know it's not as good as being here, but at least you will know how each appointment goes and how the new parents are preparing themselves.

I can't tell you how excited I am for Chris and Daniel as they begin this new journey. I am also excited that for once I am NOT the one taking prenatal vitamins. God has truly blessed our lives with Chris and Daniel. My kids adore them and they adore my kids. We have tried to prepare them by letting them practice patience and love with their nephews and niece. And from what we can see... they are going to be awesome parents. Congratulations Daniel and Christina... this is my small gift to you and your families. Have fun blogging!!! Love you both dearly, Wesa.
